About Mitch

Mitch and his wife Rita have owned Barbers & the Salon, also known as Alp’s Barber & Style, since 1997. After owning Alp’s Barber and Style for many years, they successfully expanded their business to Epps Bridge Pkwy.

He has not always been the barber he is today. In his late teens, Mitch trained as an embalmer and funeral director for years and got his degree. He developed a desire for barbering at a young age and started his formal barber training in 1967. Mitch has 50 years of experience as a barber. Over the years, he has trained in the art of shaving and both classic and modern men’s hairstyles and has trained many students along the way. His work schedule is by appointment on Mondays at our Epps Bridge location.

Mitch is originally from Indiana and has also lived in both North Carolina and Georgia. Mitch and Rita have five children spread across Georgia and are heavily involved in a local church. In his free time, Mitch collects World War II memorabilia and regularly participates in war re-enactments. His other hobbies include professionally refurbishing pipes, traveling, spending time with his family. Mitch and Rita often go on cruises and have many stories to share about their adventures.
